Crypto wallets are built by people who already own one. That is why they ask you to write down twelve words, then show you a screen of hexadecimal, then assume you know what gas is. Buzz Wallet wanted the other person: someone who heard about NFTs from a friend and has never installed a wallet.

Buzz Wallet app overview: user-friendly Web3 wallet for crypto and NFTs

Built by insiders, for insiders

The interface was not the hard part. The room was. Everyone in it, founders included, already knew how a wallet worked. A room like that cannot see what it takes for granted, so it builds for people who already own one.

Lead with the people, not the ledger

So the app leads with the social side. Not balances and tokens with sharing added on top, but the feed and the people first. The wallet sits underneath, where a new user finds it once they have a reason to care.

The founding team got there themselves, over a few sessions. Watching them explain the product to each other, the part they got excited about was never the wallet.

A wallet you can be given

Buzz shipped as a wallet with a community around it: brand, product strategy and app, built from nothing. The test it was made to pass is simple. One user can hand it to another and walk away.
