Gev Design ("we", "us") runs this site at gev.design. This page explains what we collect when you visit, why, and how to opt out.

The short version

We do not sell your data. There is no advertising on this site and no ad retargeting. Three things collect information here: the contact form, our analytics, and a third-party visitor identification service. The third one is the one most people want to know about, so it has its own section below.

When you fill in the contact form

The form asks for your name, email address, a message, which services you are interested in, and how you heard about us. Submitting it emails those details to us through Resend, our email delivery provider, and sends you a confirmation of your own message. We use what you send to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to run the engagement.

We do not add you to a mailing list from this form.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure page performance. These are aggregate and privacy-friendly: they do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

One custom event fires when the contact form is submitted successfully. It records that a submission happened, how many services were ticked, and the referral category you chose from the fixed list. It deliberately does not carry your name, email address, or message.

Our host, Vercel, also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Visitor identification

We use RB2B, a service that can identify some visitors to this site and tell us who they are — typically name, company, job title, and LinkedIn profile, along with the pages viewed. We use this to understand which kinds of companies find our work relevant. RB2B identifies visitors in the United States only.

RB2B asks us to disclose this in their own words, so here it is as they supply it:

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email.

We (or third parties on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to those email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting app.retention.com/optout.

We have RB2B's international company-level identification switched off, so visitors outside the United States are not identified through this service at all. If you are in the EU, UK, or another region covered by the GDPR and want to be certain you are excluded, RB2B's own opt-out is at rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out.

We do not control what RB2B's own data partners hold about you. Their privacy policy is at rb2b.com.

The newsletter

The Fractional Playbook is published on Substack. Subscribing happens on Substack, under their privacy policy — this site only reads and republishes the posts. We never see a subscriber list through this website.

Who we share information with

Only the providers that make the site work: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (contact form email), and RB2B (visitor identification). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Your choices

You can opt out of RB2B identification using the links above. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email gev@gev.design and we will act on it. If you are covered by the GDPR, PIPEDA, or the CCPA, those rights are yours by law and this is how you exercise them here.

Most browsers also let you block third-party scripts entirely, which stops both the analytics and the identification service.

Changes

If we add or remove a service that handles visitor data, we update this page at the same time and move the date at the top.
