MindPalace remembers everything your apps have ever held, and connects it to what other people know. Said out loud, that sounds either enormous or like every note-taking tool since 2010. Which of the two it sounds like is almost entirely a design problem.

Enormous, or a note-taking app
Personal knowledge management is full of products that were technically impressive and felt like homework.
MindPalace had a harder version of that problem. A product about memory has nothing to show when you first open it, because the value only appears once you have handed over your data.

Spend everything on the first five minutes
Almost all of the design effort went into the onboarding. Not a tour of features, but a sequence built to feel expensive and deliberate. A product asking for access to everything you own has five minutes to earn it.
The social features came next, because they are the part no note-taking app has. The brand was drawn loud enough to carry the claim instead of apologising for it.
Under all of it sat a roadmap from launch to Series A. That is what kept the research and the developer work pointed at decisions rather than polish.

Gev’s team brought our ideas to life with amazing design and smart strategy. They made MindPalace look great and work even better, setting us up for growth and success.
A first open worth the access
The product shipped with the brand, the site and the onboarding carrying one identity from first screen to footer. By the time someone hands over their data, the product has already earned it.
